[ On December 22, the final night of Chanukkah, Kate will find a package in front of her door in Autumn. Folded inside is a dress. And matching shrawl (imagine it being red, black, and with silver accents).
On Christmas day, she'll find a different package. Inside is another outfit. There are the shorts as well as a pleated skirts and it also come with warm leggings to wear underneath it, should she choose to wear it. The color is a dark blue instead of black with matching accents. Similar to the coat here, which she also receives with a pair of boots.
Close inspection on all clothing items reveal runes etched onto the inside - some for repelling soot (so they should never be dirty) and others for protection. Should she be wearing it the clothing will protect her from harm (so long as nothing stops it and/or you WANT it to, ofc). ]
The gift is delivered on Christmas Day, in a small, simple box, packaged up in their, presumably, joint favorite color: red. Very festive.
Within it, two rolls. One of them, simple linen bandage, clean and proper, for the patching of any wounds—though of course, with some luck, future incidents will be far and few in between.
The other is a length of satin clearly intended to tie up a girl's hair. If it is used such, one's tresses—even if they are fully black and made of soot—begin, unmistakably, to move. Every lock will shift and coilg up into perfectly geometric curls that will stay, benignly, out of Kate's eyes.
