[ back at the bulletin board after meeting npcs! kate is reading the rules posted on the board. there is a trail of smoke coming out of her head. ]

What nonsense...

[curious about the smoke, but she doesn't comment on it.]

Every part, or something specifically?

[sootprints]

The part about being "sacrificed," most of all...

But I especially don't like that we're being watched, too.

[allomantic]

I doubt any of us are happy about either part.

[pausing for a moment]

Kate. Correct?

[sootprints]

Yes...

[ casting a glance over at the bulletin board... ]

And you must be Vin.

[allomantic]

[giving her a silent nod.]

[sootprints]

It's nice to meet you.

... Though, I wish it wasn't under such circumstances.

[allomantic]

They're hardly favorable.

[frowns]

What do you think of those four?

[sootprints]

I'm glad we have someone who will answer our questions and requests.

... But it is a little too convenient.

[allomantic]

[nodding at the last part.]

Difficult to trust.

[sootprints]

I think so too. I think our first step must be to learn more about them.

Week 1, Monday

[ kate, who is normally pretty deadpan... enters the funky fashionista shop and collapses to the floor dramatically, like she's just reached an oasis in the desert. ]

Finally.

[allomantic]

It's a bit of a relief.

[she's not too particular about her appearance, but even she's getting tired of her dress, given the blood.]

[sootprints]

[ pulling herself to her feet... ]

I've had to wash this one dress so many times over the past week. It's awful.

[allomantic]

Is there anything in particular you're going to look for, then? Another dress?

[sootprints]

I think so... though maybe I'll try for more variety. I'd like something a little more practical than this...

What about you, Vin?

[allomantic]

I'd like something more practical, too. Something easy to move in.

[sootprints]

Oh, that's right... From your poster, it sounds like you're good at... fighting? Do you need to wear certain clothes for that?

[allomantic]

[she shakes her head]

As long as it's loose enough not to be restrictive, it should be fine. I don't anticipate doing too much of it here, though.

[sootprints]

That's good...

[ both parts of that. ]

Maybe some better footwear will be a good start. And some new dresses!
