As much as we're able to see things that they do out in the open, we're unable to snoop in on private conversations, yes. Not really sure what's the metric that this place decides them on, but there seems to be a level of arbitration to it.

I think Mr Aventurine's notes probably better summarise it than I can, given he's been here much longer. From my understanding though, they were trying to build a machine over on that side that would... connect out to other realms like this one? I think? And an accident involving it is what killed Nehan in the first place.
