[ ...... but the thing about doing this on the ice is, her feet don't stay steady while she's shifting her weight (and his) around like this. so she ends up slipping and falling over forward, landing on her hands and knees next to him.
He was, naturally, going to let her knock him down regardless, but he's really not prepared for her to do anything beyond shoving him with her little baby arms, so there's genuine surprise when she throws him. He knows very well how to fall on the ice, so he does, because he doesn't think she'd actually be happy if he cracked his head open or something--but when she slips, he sits up quickly, reaching out to steady her.]
[He wants nothing more than to pick her up and take her to go get some hot chocolate, but he will resist with all his might... he lays down splayed out on the ice instead.]
