It seemed like an abandoned village. Everything was a bit worn-down, and the house I stayed in always had strange noises and happenings in it... [ her beloved haunted house. ] We were able to visit other places, too, but most of them were a bit sad or ominous in their own ways.
... I didn't really hate it there, though. The people I stayed with were all very warm and kind.

Yeah. I met some really, really amazing people in both. I'm looking forward to seeing all of them again once this is all over.
